This is how I solved my math problem. I am a 9 year old girl this year turning 10 next year. It was tricky because I never knew when I was gonna turn 25. next time I would put more efferent in my blog
I am a Year 6 student at Red Hill School in Auckland, NZ. I am in the Pukeko Whare and my teachers are Matua Nigel and Granny Hetaraka.

Hey Mariylah,
ReplyDeleteYour answer is really close but I think you might be sort of correct depending on if we ignore months and your birthday. If you had just turned 9 than the answer will be the answer to '25 - 9 = ?' But you are right if you think that because you are turning 10 this year you might be closer to 10 than 9, then it would be '25 - 10 = ?'.
If I think about myself I am 22 (meaning that I have been alive for at least 22 years but not quite 23 years) But I will be 23 in less than a month from now, so it would be closer to the truth to say that I am 2 years away from 25 than 3 because the really answer is 2 years and 24 days.
So I think I think you've actually put a lot of effort into this post because you thought hard about the maths problem. Which maybe have been more correct and more confusing.
See you in the comments.
Daniel :D
