My story about my koro
This story is based on a true story when I was 4 years old. I chose to do this story because I think about my grandpa everyday when I'm trying to sleep but I can't. It was heartbreaking for me because he was once my next-door neighbor.I enjoy the summer learning journey because they let us do blog work over the summer Holiday.

Hey Mariylah,
ReplyDeleteThat was very brave of you to share this story. That must have been very frightening for you to find him like that and then to find out that he had died. I lost my Grandpa when I was 10 and I felt very sad for a long time too, I only used to see him occasional so I didn't know him very well and I was sad that I didn't spend that much time with him.
But I'm glad to hear that he was your neighbour and you visited him a lot while you could and it's great to here that you are enjoying the SLJ these holidays you've done really well completing so much of it already.

ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this personal story - I'm so sorry to hear that you lost your grandpa and that you had to experience a situation as scary as that. It sounded very sudden so I can understand how frightened, sad and depressed you must have felt.
I lost my Nan recently - only several weeks ago now. I spent a lot of time around her growing up and then in her final years I visited her as often as possible at the hospital. She meant so much to me because she represents my tīpuna and is the only strong connection that I have to my culture. I miss her so much and I bet you miss your Grandpa just the same.
Thanks again for sharing this with us, I'm really thankful that you feel safe enough to share this information with us.
Kia kaha e hoa,
Jordan
